Title: Marketing Manager 

Reports to: Head of Marketing 

About Us

Inspired by worldwide influencers and trips to hundreds of food halls, captivating architecture, stand-out bar experiences, trusted membership clubs, hotels, urban escapes and community hubs, our emphasis is on creating a bustling atmosphere of fun. 

Market Halls is the ultimate destination: blending imaginative food experiences with great bars, a cultural events programme, community initiatives, a place to work and a place to meet friends. It’s a place where ‘staying awhile’ is highly encouraged.

We are a small, friendly, entrepreneurial team with a family feel. We work hard and we love what we do.

We don’t have a fixed office, and often make pop up offices in either our Victoria or Fulham Market Halls homes or work from home.

We are a small management team and are looking for someone to join us with bundles of enthusiasm, a strong work ethic and someone who can make a genuine impact - both from a marketing perspective as we look to grow our business and as a positive force for good in our office culture.

We are looking for someone who is happy to be agile and prides themselves on being a delight to work with. This is a dream job for an entrepreneurial spirit; looking to make a genuine difference and have autonomy. 

Key Objectives and Responsibilities

It is an exciting time for the business. Post Covid, we have re-opened our Fulham and Victoria Halls with a bang and we have big plans for 2022 - with our West End Hall reopening and a new one in the pipeline!

We’re looking for:

A marketing and communications magic maker    A cheerleader for everything we are about

An experienced social media campaign manager

A co-ordinator excited to be involved in all Market Halls marketing activities    Someone to look after our community - digital and physical

A copy writing extraordinaire You’ll be tasked with:

Social Media
 

Story telling; creating multi-format on brand content and writing copy with substance (never rushed or just for the sake of it, always telling the story in our tone of voice)

Content Creation: Finding joy in uploading and posting engaging and inspiring content every day - and working with a network of content creators to capture this

Engaging frequently with our community physically and digitally and then blending it all together sharing the Market Halls spirit

Growing and expanding our social media following, and increasing our engagement rates

Being the librarian of the asset library

  • Keeping our digital shop front up to date 

Email Communications


  • Creating and executing content for standout email marketing campaigns in line with strategy    Keeping an eye and reporting on how our customers are responding to our campaigns
  • Being the friendly but firm data librarian - segmenting, targeting, and positioning our valuable data systematically and effectively
Supporting PR Activities, Partnerships & Events


  • Working with the wider Market Halls team to design, implement, communicate and deliver PR activities, a cultural events programme and brand partnerships
  • Organising large-scale events, including sponsored takeovers, private parties and workshops in collaboration with partner brands and like-minded individuals
  • Building brand partnerships and community-focused customer relationships    Charm the influential

  • Excited to champion the values of the Market Halls culture not only within this remits outputs but across all interactions with any stakeholder in the Market Halls community
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy a fast paced environment where you have autonomy to make decisions
  • Familiar with all forms of social media and communication platforms and where you aren’t familiar, keen to learn and understand
  • Seek progression - an active reader- always looking to learn how to do things better, understand communication trends or formats and apply this to what we are doing
  • Understand the metrics that those around you need to know - what is working and why, what we can do better and what you need to make this happen
  • You’re a bit of a process enthusiast and enjoy (maybe slightly obsessively) managing the continuous improvement of tools we use, how we document what we do and processes
  • Are able to work in the brand’s fun, friendly and empathetic tone of voice
