Marketing Assistant

The role:

We’re looking for someone who is beaming with bright ideas, who is organised and brings a fresh perspective to the team. You’ll focus on our guest experience and promotion at both Watergate Bay Hotel and Another Place and be assisting with the creation of tactical sales marketing and content marketing campaigns. As well as administration support for the Group head of marketing and key marketing and digital projects for the Brand director.

What your days could look like:

• Review and maintain online marketing listings with up-to-date images and text, this includes TripAdvisor, Visit Cumbria, Visit Cornwall.
• Use our property management system to book in journalists, VIPs and competition winners, and create itineraries to show the full guest experience.
• Support and maintain digital advertising campaigns including Google AdWord.
• Review and update our websites, alongside Google Analytics.
• Help to create and update blogs, with full SEO and titling.
• Review user generated content on social media and research shareable content which can be fed into our content calendar
• Support the Group head of marketing with marketing administration.
• Work alongside the Brand director to support key internal marketing projects.
• Support and respond to some social media channels.

Job skills & requirements:

• At least two years’ experience of marketing.
• Experience of creating and managing AdWords campaigns and online advertising.
• Experience of managing social media channels, especially Instagram and Facebook.
• Good knowledge of SEO best practice.
• A passion for digital and developing technology.
• Experience of creating digital content.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creativity and imagination.
• Attention to detail and organisation skills.
• Experience of project management and project administration.
• An interest in creative writing.
• An interest in photography and filmmaking.
