Description

The role:

To support the design and marketing team with the day-to-day production of design, marketing and operational assets for all brands across physical and digital channels.

Our brands include Watergate Bay Hotel, SeaSpace, Another Place, The Lake and Another Place, The Machrie.

This position requires a detail-oriented individual with basic design skills who can balance creative tasks with operational support and general admin work to ensure the studio runs efficiently while meeting the marketing and operational needs of the hotel and restaurant businesses.

Key responsibilities:

Brand:

  • Be fluent with each brand and work alongside the brand guidelines including tone of voice, style guide and visual identity.

Design output:

  • Create and update menus, promotional materials, signage, and event collateral for both print and digital use.
  • Support the production of graphics for print, social media, email marketing and online channels.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all materials while adapting to seasonal campaigns.

Production & printing:

  •  Coordinate creative workload and plan output workflow.
  •  Coordinate with print/production suppliers for physical materials like menus, brochures, and promotional items and assist in procurement.
  • Prepare files for various print processes, ensuring proper specifications and quality.
  • Manage in-house printing needs for immediate operational requirements – specifically restaurant support.

Digital asset management:

  • Organize and maintain the digital asset library of photos, graphics, and templates.
  • Support website and social media visual content needs.

Studio administrative support:

  • Track project timelines and assist with workload management.
  • Maintain design standards and assist with quality control and proofing.
  • Help put in place design processes and create templates for recurring materials.

Workflow optimization:

  • Prioritise requests from various departments based on business needs.
  • Help streamline approval processes for faster project completion.
  • Support the team during high-volume periods and special events.
  • Work with the social media manager and relevant marketing manager to source content for social media when necessary.

Events

  • Work with the team to deliver and promote our annual events calendar for all brands, especially the Watergate Bay beach events. Some weekend working will be necessary.

Departmental responsibilities:

  • Develop effective relationships with team members and third parties.
  • Carrying out various departmental and administrative tasks as required.
  • Act in accordance with health & safety laws.
  • Represent the brand at all times.

Key skills required:

  • At least two years experience in a similar role.
  • Attention to detail and organisation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software. Specifically, Photoshop and Indesign.
  • Experience of document creation and in-house printing essential.
  • Microsoft office proficient.
  • Creativity and imagination.

Key skills desired

  • Experience of marketing campaign project management and administration.

General

  • Full time position
  • Working hours  - Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with a degree of flexibility
  • Occasional weekend working required
  • Predominantly office based working hours
  • The office is at The Hangar, Aerohub Business Park, St Mawgan, Newquay, TR8 4RZ
