Channel Commercial Manager - Restaurant

Description

Welcome to Kentucky Fried Chicken. Our world famous chicken restaurant brand all started with one cook, Colonel Harland Sanders, who created a finger lickin’ good recipe more than 75 years ago, a list of secret herbs and spices scratched out on the back of the door to his kitchen. He started travelling by car to different restaurants and cooked his fried chicken on the spot for restaurant owners. He did this at the age of 65. If the owner liked the chicken, they would enter into a handshake agreement to sell the Colonel’s chicken. Legend has it that Colonel Sanders heard 1009 “No’s” before he heard his first yes. The Colonel’s story still inspires us today. It reminds us how grit, perseverance, dedication and ambition along with hard work can create success; regardless of your age or where you come from.

Our purpose as an employer is to empower our people to find their own secret recipe in life too.

ABOUT THE ROLE

KFC UKI is looking to bring on board a talented and ambitious Channel Performance Manager – In-Restaurant. We want someone who not only LOVES chicken but has a real passion for growth and delivering winning results.

You will be in-charge of converting the visit to our restaurants into a transaction, whether through ordering in our tills or through the drive-thru lane. You will deliver the best guest experience whilst maximising revenue for our brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Channel Performance Manager, you will be in charge of improving the overall performance of the channel – from menu architecture, user experience, consumer order journey, basket analysis, and channel profitability.

  • You will work with the Channel Lead for On-Premise to build the right menu architecture that is fit for the channel to ensure we serve hot, fresh fried chicken to our guests on time, every time.
  • You will work with the Restaurant Experience team and Category teams to define the right merchandising strategy across the different touchpoints in the guest order journey to make it easier to place an order, encourage trial for relevant products, and increase the average order value.
  • You will leverage data & insight where you understand our guests’ needs, habits, and perceptions to continuously optimise performance, running an agile test-and-learn approach and implement successful outcomes at scale.
  • You will work with the Commercial team in defining the right pricing strategy to ensure we offer good value every day to our guests
  • You will utilise an agile test-and-learn approach in finding incremental value for your channel. You will develop & maintain a test backlog and lead test sprint cycles, prioritising initiatives that will deliver the highest value.
  • You will work with the cross-functional team to recommend corrective actions, new or enhanced tools, processes, and procedures to ensure the channel is performing at its most optimal. You will work with the Innovation and Technology teams to define the development roadmap to unlock new features and capabilities.
  • You will work with the Brand and Product Development teams to ensure national launches are implemented & maximised on your channel.
  • You will equip the wider business with the right know-how about your channel – as this is a growing space for KFC, you will be the expert that project teams can consult about its inner workings.

WE'D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU IDENTIFY WITH THE FOLLOWING:

  • You will have worked in retail and are well-versed in driving business performance in this channel. You have experience in managing product / menu portfolios, pricing strategy, and designing user experience. You would have led revenue growth initiatives and competitive analyses.
  • You are gifted in analysing data and churning out actionable insights from it.
  • You have a strong project management experience, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • You have a growth mindset - you’ll be connecting the dots in fresh ways to make amazing things happen. You are not afraid to stretch boundaries and think outside of the box to get results.
  • You have an experimental mindset – you create the motivation to constantly experiment, test hypotheses that will advance our growth ambitions. You have the ability to deal with failure and to fail forward – learning from the results and informing the next proposition to test.
  • You possess strong collaboration skills are able to work in a dynamic, ever-changing environment. You have experience leading and working with cross-functional teams, galvanising the team to deliver against the vision.
  • You have the ability to cut through the jargon and speak fluent “consumer” but with our brand and menu vision at the very heart of your ideas will be a real benefit.
  • Experience with food retail and QSR is definitely a plus.

ABOUT YOU

  • You are a future leader with stretch to grow in the business and a strong ability to collaborate and take people with you as you lead them towards your vision.
  • You bring a high-energy and a passionate outlook to the job and can influence those around you.
  • You may be the next Channel Performance Manager for Restaurant but you’re a future CMO or CTO, your ambition and hunger for the next move will see you thrive in our culture of building great international careers.
  • You will bring your own special secret recipe to the KFC Marketing team culture.
