 ABOUT THE ROLE

The Foundation is pretty new in the scheme of things and we are excited to grow it. The Foundation is run by a Foundation Manager on a day to day basis on behalf of a board of trustees, they are a group of people who are legally responsible for the management of the Foundation. They are volunteers who believe in the Foundation’s mission and values.

You will be working closely with the Foundation Manager to support with the daily running of the Foundation. Although the Foundation is a charity on its own and separate from KFC you will be welcomed in to the KFC Marketing Team and wider business; working with really motivated, smart and passionate people and teams which will help you develop your corporate know how in an organisation with an amazing culture.

What will you be doing?

As we’ve become a community grant maker and it’s a programme we want to make BIG, supporting with the administration will be a chunk of this role:

  • Identifying good practice to support with the continuous evolution of the grant making process
  • Collating grant applications
  • Organising the shortlisting process
  • Speaking to applicants and grantees by email and phone
  • Tracking grants
  • Helping with monitoring and evaluation of grants
  • Taking part in the shortlisting process to decide where the money should be used

We meet with our trustees every 3 months and sometimes more so you will:

  • Support with meeting preparation
  • Attend meetings and support with minute taking and typing up minutes.

We are really proud of the Foundation and we want to tell everyone about it:

  • Supporting with content creation for KFC teams and social media platforms

This is an admin role but it’s a small team (you and me!) so there are always different things to do, these are some other things you might expect to be involved in:

  • Co ordinating partner visits and volunteer opportunities
  • Annual reporting
  • Fundraising through raffles and KFC celebrations

We are also excited to offer you the opportunity to complete a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship (equivalent to two A Level passes) on the job as part of the role
