Lamington Group is looking for a motivated Sustainability Communications Officer to make an industry-changing impact in rolling out hometel brand, room2, which already has leading net zero credentials. Lamington Group is a 55-year-old family-owned and run real estate investment and development business based in London. The business has a significant property holding and operates in residential and short-term apartments.
We are seeking a passionate, creative, and environmentally conscious Sustainability Communications Officer to join our marketing and sustainability team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing engaging content and driving awareness of Lamington Group, as a leading net-zero hospitality brand.

The business has a significant property holding and operates in residential and short-term apartments. This role requires a strong understanding of sustainability, excellent writing skills, and the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
YOUR OBJECTIVE:
To deliver sustainability content to drive our position as the No. 1 known sustainable hospitality company in the UK.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Work within the Marketing team but collaborate closely with the Sustainability team to communicate our One Planet Living strategy and Net Zero commitments across a range of stakeholders and audiences.
Produce and publish a targeted number of communication pieces monthly across various B2B channels, such as blogs, email, website, Linkedin and internal comms.
Develop content to increase visibility and stakeholder engagement.
Collaborate with the sustainability team to gather input and ensure the accuracy of the content
Assist in researching and writing entries for a number of prestigious industry awards
Assist with planning and delivering sustainable communication projects
Drive awareness, thought leadership and communication of our achievements.
Identify comms and PR opportunities for different projects
Support employee sustainability engagement across the company
Identify opportunities for hotel guests to engage in sustainability
Support in drafting educational sustainability materials for employees and the wider industry
EXPERIENCE:
Degree in a relevant subject e.g. Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Sustainability, Environmental Sciences etc. or can demonstrate transferable skills from relevant work experience
1-2 years+ experience in a role that involved communications, public relations, copywriting, real estate, project management or sustainability
A demonstrated interest in copywriting and media relations and a passion for sustainability, particularly as it relates to climate, energy, cities, and construction
Preparing written reports and communications across mediums and to different audiences
SKILLS:
Excellent research and writing skills
Excellent verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of business
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or Google Suite
Natural commercial acumen and business case for sustainability
