Maxime’s, the newest private member’s club creation by renowned British entrepreneur Robin Birley—also the visionary behind London's esteemed 5 Hertford Street and Oswald’s—invites exceptional hospitality professionals to become part of our inaugural team.

Opened in March 2025 in the historic former Westbury Hotel on Madison Avenue, Maxime’s is a private members club home to four distinct kitchens, each offering a unique culinary experience.

Chefs here have the opportunity to work at the highest level across a range of cuisines:

  • Maxime’s – refined French-Mediterranean fine dining
  • El Puma – bold and contemporary Latin American cuisine
  • Hiromi – traditional and modern Japanese sushi and small plates
  • Zodiac Lounge & Bar – elevated takes on classic American bar fare

The Birley Bakery due to open this summer will be situated across from Maxime’s. The Birley Bakery will specialize in artisan breads, viennoiseries, pâtisseries, and chocolates inspired by traditional Parisian boulangeries—ideal for skilled Bakers, Pastry Chefs, and Chocolatiers passionate about craftsmanship and precision.

  • Senior Sous Chef $80,000 - $85,000 / annum
  • Sous Chef - $70,000 - $75,000/annum
  • Junior Sous Chef - $65,000 - $70,000/annum
  • Senior Chef de Partie - $24.00 - $27.00 / hour
  • Line Cook’s - $21.50 - $23.50/hour
  • Demi Chef de Partie- $19.50/hour
  • Commis Chef - $19.50/hour
  • Breakfast Chef - $21.50-$23.25/hour
  • Japanese Restaurant Chef $24.00 - $26.00

Birley Bakery:

  • Baker - $22.50 - $25/hour
  • Pastry Cook
