The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency, safety, and aesthetic standards of AJ Foods Inc. McDonald’s locations. This role involves performing high-level preventative maintenance (PM), troubleshooting technical equipment failures, and maintaining the physical integrity of the restaurant buildings.
Key Responsibilities1. Equipment & Technical Maintenance
Perform scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) on high-impact equipment, including:
Fryers and Grills.
Shake/Sundae machines.
HVAC units and evaporators.
Roof hood extractors and exhaust systems.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
Execute basic electrical and plumbing repairs as needed.
2. Facility & Building Care
Maintain building structures, including flooring, walls, and professional-grade painting.
Ensure bathroom fixtures and public-facing areas remain in top repair.
Identify and resolve structural issues before they impact operations.
3. Documentation & Safety
CMMS Management: Utilize the company’s CMMS system (MaintainX) for all work order management, logging parts, and tracking time.
Complete all maintenance reports and documentation accurately and on time.
Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
Standard Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Shift Rotations: *
(2) shifts: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
(2) shifts: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
(1) shift: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday Rotation: Required to work one Saturday on a rotating basis.
Timekeeping: All technicians must clock in and clock out at the dedicated store, regardless of where their assigned work site is for the day.
Overtime: Subject to business needs and must be authorized by the Maintenance Supervisor, Director, or Dispatcher.
