 We are currently recruiting for an Events and Groups Planning Manager to join the Groups and Events team at The Londoner Hotel.

Overview:

  • This is an amazing opportunity for a talented individual to join our team.
  • As a  Groups and Events Planning Manager, you will be leading the event planning effort within a dynamic groups & events team at our flagship hotel in London.
  • You will be required to adhere to the highest standards of customer care, to help plan and deliver outstanding events, while ensuring a smooth and effective communication with both client and internal operations teams. You may also be required to use relevant software and online planning tools. By understanding customer requirements and their brief, you will be required to convert to the maximum revenue potential of each event.
  • Your success in the role will be determined also by your ability to multi-task, dealing with multiple parties often concurrently; to perform under pressure and to remain calm. You will need to ensure that the clients’ requirements are met and exceeded, pre-, during and after their event and in a timely follow up after the event.
  • You will need to effectively deal with suppliers and contractors and to offer excellent interpersonal skills as the job constantly involves working with people.
About You:

  • Current Events Planning  experience within a 4 or 5 Star hotel or events venue.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to provide efficient and reliable customer experience, sell in a consulting way, promoting relevant Edwardian Hotels London services.
  • Ability to generate new revenue opportunities including repeat business, up-selling services, including but not limited to F&B and accommodation revenue
  • Technical knowledge of hotel booking systems including Opera and Delphi and others, subject to business requirements
  • Excellent time management skills and organisational awareness, org skills.
  • Excellent understanding of corporate and social events market, dietary and nutritional requirements, food & beverage menu offerings, capacities and various events set-up options, allocation and room blocks management, creativity and attention to details.
  • The role may often require working outside of normal office hours depending on the event requirements.
  • You are a positive and a reliable individual, happy to work as part of a team and / or lead a team, you are self-motivated and organised professional, with passion for hospitality industry. You are career – oriented, driven by success and achievements, you have genuine interest in food, events, travel experiences, people and hospitality.
