Located in the heart of Mayfair, The Arts Club is one of London’s most renowned private members’ clubs a discreet sanctuary for those with a passion for the arts, literature, music and culture.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Head of Membership and a highly motivated individual to join our growing team in London. The successful Head of Membership applicant will become part of a fun, dynamic team.

Are you prepared to lead the execution of the membership strategy for The Arts Club London, support and drive the membership revenue, experience and engage, as well as being fully responsible for day to day operations? If so – we have just the right position for you.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

Co-designing the membership strategy with the Director of Membership and Business Development and thereafter leading on the execution of this strategy. This includes, but is not limited to, membership acquisition & retention, member on boarding, member experience & all aspects of membership lifecycle. Identify new prospective members from existing network of contacts & beyond, cultivating new relationships in order to generate new leads and converting leads into high calibre applications. 

  • Managing members - ensure all communication & interaction through the membership lifecycle is timely and escalated to Director of Membership and Business Development when required.
  • Engaging and interacting with Members on the floor and at Club events. To be an ambassador for The Arts Club at all times.
  • Supporting monthly committee meetings together with the Director of Membership and Business Development and oversee all necessary information is put together by the membership team for the meeting.
  • Maintaining & evolving quality of membership data base as directed by Director of Membership and Business Development, CEO and the board, for demographic and financial targets required
  • To support and work with marketing strategies, KPI’s and initiatives throughout the club, whilst liaising with all other departments to integrate the sales opportunity with the prospect/member
  • Assisting in designing and implementing data analytics and associated dashboard to feed into strategy & executive decision making.
  • Overseeing clear, accurate and up-to-date financial reporting with regards to all aspects of membership, including the collection of fees and reporting for both new members and renewing members, whilst liaising with the CFO & finance team regularly.
  • Collaboratively working with internal colleagues to provide timely insights, information & analytics to drive financial, marketing, sales & operational decisions. Key internal stakeholders include the Chairman, CEO, Director of Membership and Business Development, CFO, Brand Director, Operations Director & HR Director.
  • Assist and execute driving brand partnership strategy, in collaboration with the brand director. Identifying partners with appropriate customer databases to affiliate with, driving potential sales and member benefits.
  • Regular liaison & collaboration with the Dubai membership team regarding the shared CRM and international members. Ensuring best practices and ideas are shared and the ethos and values of both Clubs remain consistent
  • Supporting on all aspects of systems and processes, including the CRM system, as well as contributing to the continuous improvement of all processes.
  • Supporting Member profiling with the Director of Membership and Business Development and implementing processes for establishing the suitability of candidates for membership of the club.
  • Responsible for the clubs rules and bye-laws, maintaining and evolving the standard of all member communications, together with the Director of Membership and Business Development and Brand Director
  • Working closely with Director of Membership and Business Development and Brand Director to ensure cultural programming and marketing are seamlessly integrated and optimised.
  • Understanding the importance of confidentiality as defined by the Data Protection Act 2018 and ensuring that confidential information is safely recorded and stored within our systems through a strict monitoring of practices and behaviours of the membership team
