As Bodega Taqueria y Tequila continues to expand its footprint in South Florida we are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our Corporate team. Come join an incredible growing company!

Offering traditional Mexican favorites as well as unconventional and innovative interpretations, Bodega specializes in tacos and tortas, homemade sodas and authentic beverages in a dynamic, eclectic “puebla” inspired setting. Disguised behind a meat locker door, the no-name speakeasy behind Bodega comes alive at night, serving up Miami’s best tequila and cocktails in an environment that brings the fabric of the community together – artists and musicians, locals and travelers alike – for late night conversation, performances and fun.

Overview

Seeking a dynamic HR professional with excellent communication and organizational skills to support Human Resources. This position will work out of the Corporate office reporting to the VP of People supporting all Bodega Tequila y Taqueria locations and is responsible for working with the leadership team to create a dynamic culture that will maintain superior levels of associate, guest, and stakeholder satisfaction.

The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources Department. The responsibilities include handling Human Resources email and inquiries processing HR related documentation and administering onboarding programs to ensure all requests are addressed appropriately and timely. This position will be responsible for daily processing across multiple HR systems. Other responsibilities will include but limited to hiring, benefits, workers compensation, payroll, FMLA, employee relations, conduct wage surveys and other project as required.


Essentials Functions:

  • Handle employee status changes 
  • Health Care Enrollment on Vendor Website
  • Employee relations and hiring events
  • Maintain Branded Bulletin Board at all corporate locations
  • Distribution of SOPs, Policies follow-up
  • End of Month Report
  • I9 Monthly Report and audit


Supportive Functions:

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the requirements of a location

  • Maintains employee files (able to co status changes, reports)
  • Offers of Employment – offer letters
  • Exact Hire On-Boarding
  • Background Check and references
  • Assist with Pre-Screening Applicants
  • Employee Inquiries
  • Employee relations and hiring events

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.   • Strong command of the English language, 
  • Have a good working knowledge of HRIS and ATS platforms
  • Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials,

  • Extensive knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office Suite) 
  • Interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • Have good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to prepare and analyze data figures
  • Must be proactive and reactive
  • Must be able to lead by example

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education

High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience

Prior 2 years experience in Human Resources related positions.
