LURE FISHBAR : DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL EVENTS

Description
New York based restaurant group is seeking an experienced events professional to lead private dining and event sales for Miami outpost. The primary focus of this position is business development, relationship building and event preparation and execution.

• Generate and develop internal and external event leads
• Handel response and follow up to leads in a time sensitive manor
• Produce and secure all contracts and documents for private events
BEO, contract, floor plan, terms of agreement, menus etc..
• Negotiate food and beverage minimums for multiple spaces with ability to maximize space and profits
• Handel event menu creation and special requests for all clients
• Oversee coordination of any vendors or production needs
Flowers, rentals, entertainment, lighting etc
• Develop and execute run of show for all events
• Distribute BEO’s and communicate all details of events to appropriate departments both within the restaurant and hotel.
• Brief restaurant staff on event summary day of
• Maintain positive client relationships and ensure consistent, high level service throughout pre and post event phases
• Create venue revenue reports for review with hotel management and company ownership
• Conduct and be present for all sites and walk-through of the restaurant
• Work closely with hotel sales and conference teams to maximize bookings of hotel groups
• Serve as the liaison between restaurant and hotel departments
PR, Marketing, banquets, stewarding, front office, concierge
• Form relationships with local residents, businesses, concierge, DMC companies
• Assist with photo requests and coordination of PR & Marketing photo shoots within restaurant
• Represent brand and assist with execution of local off site marketing events
Ex: Iron Fork, Taste of Tennis, Taste of The Nation
• Stay current with food and beverage trends both inside and outside the restaurant

• Excellent communication and people skills
• Strong MAC/PC skills (proficient in Microsoft Office)
• Experience with Dropbox, Photoshop, InDesign, Tripleseat & Delphi a plus.
• Savvy online research skills/Tech Savvy
• Professional appearance and demeanor

Experience
• Bachelor's degree
• (2-4) Years experience in similar position or related areas of the hospitality industry
