As Floor Supervisor, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest service, managing the daily floor operation, and supporting the development of junior team members. You will take ownership of your section during service while ensuring that standards across the dining room remain consistently high.

Salary: £32,000 per annum inclusive of Service Charge.
Contract Type: 40 Hour contract

The Role:

  • Act as the primary senior waiter for the restaurant, managing your own section and ensuring an outstanding guest experience at all times.

  • Lead, brief, and direct the commi waiters each shift, assigning duties and setting clear priorities.

  • Mentor, train, and support junior team members to help them develop their skills and confidence.

  • Oversee the floor setup before service, maintaining cleanliness, presentation, and readiness to standard.

  • Coordinate service flow with the kitchen and bar, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.

  • Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints in a professional and timely manner, escalating when appropriate.

  • Maintain the restaurant's atmosphere, including lighting, music, and table presentation, in line with Mezcalito’s brand.

  • Lead the floor reset and cleaning at the end of service, reviewing and signing off team members’ work.

  • Attend weekly management meetings and contribute valuable insights to improve service and drive revenue.

  • Support the management team with occasional opening and closing duties as required.

The Person:

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

  • Proven experience in a similar role (Head Waiter, Senior Waiter, or Floor Supervisor) within a high-volume, premium restaurant or bar.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a small team.

  • A hands-on, guest-focused approach with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Excellent organisational ability and the confidence to make decisions under pressure.

  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation.

  • Knowledge of upselling techniques and the ability to drive sales while maintaining a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

What We Offer:

£32,000 per annum on a 40-hour contract.

Tiered staff benefits that grow with your tenure, rewarding your commitment and contribution over time.

60 minutes of free daily use of HumanForest e-bikes, encouraging sustainable commuting and wellbeing.
