Position Overview:
Prep Cooks at Meráki Greek Grill are responsible for the foundational elements of our menu. This role ensures that all ingredients, sauces, and proteins are prepared with precision, consistency, and strict adherence to food safety standards before service begins.
Key Responsibilities:
Wash, chop, slice, and prepare vegetables, meats, and other ingredients according to recipes
Prepare house-made sauces, dressings, and marinades to exact brand standards
Monitor inventory levels and rotate stock using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary prep station at all times
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines, including temperature logging
Assist line cooks with restocking stations during transition periods
Properly label, date, and store all prepared food items
Support the team by keeping the kitchen efficient, safe, and organized
Qualifications:
Knife skills and familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment
Strong attention to detail, portion control, and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Previous kitchen prep experience preferred but not required
