Job Requisition: Automotive Technician

Position Title: Automotive Technician
Reports To: Service Manager


Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. The technician will work closely with the service team to provide high-quality automotive repair services in a timely and efficient manner.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and brake inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify necessary repairs.
  • Accurately document work performed, parts used, and labor hours on repair orders.
  • Communicate with service advisors and customers regarding findings, repair options, and timelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer service guidelines.
  • Stay updated with new automotive technology and diagnostic techniques.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • ASE Certification(s) highly desirable.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an automotive technician (more or less depending on role level).
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools and automotive repair software.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position: Monday–Saturday availability may be required.
  • May require standing, bending, and lifting heavy equipment or parts for extended periods.
  • Work performed in a garage environment with exposure to various weather conditions, noise, and automotive chemicals.
