Middle Eight has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Security Guard to join our Security team. As a Security Guard, you will assist the Security Department ensuring standards of operation are always adhered to and service expectations are exceeded. 

Your duties will include but not limited to: 
  • Conduct patrols, Supervise access, key and CCTV controls.
  • Any security activities in guest rooms, public or team areas, within level of own expertise and qualifications.
  • Checking Property Management System (PMS) or Sevenrooms Bookings System for number of daily arrivals and bookings 
  • To respond immediately and investigate all Fire Alarm activations in accordance with the Fire & Emergency Plans and procedures. 
  • To report and investigate all reported thefts and criminal offences in or affecting the hotel.
  • Record and complete all relevant incidents reports, including operational issues before going off duty 
  • Complete daily log-books in line with departmental standards.   
What we would like you to bring: 
  • A passion for delivering an outstanding guest experience
  • The ability to interact with guests and clients to ensure a fantastic experience 
  • Minimum 2 years in similar role in Security industry
  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office applications for report writing and record keeping
  • SIA Certificate door supervisor minimum

What we offer:

  • Reporting to the Security Manager, the role is full-time, 40-hours per week. Working to a flexible rota with a 30-minute break included. The shifts will be from 6pm -2am/6pm-4am. It’s mandatory to work Fridays and Saturdays.
