Job description
Head Chef needed for first Long Island outpost of fast casual Barbeque restaurant Mighty Quinn’s.

This is the first of at least three Long Island locations and an opportunity to help build and grow a new business.

Candidate will need to be energetic, detail-oriented, and a stickler for efficiency.

Franchisor will provide training for execution of menu and company standards.

Responsibilities:

-Lead a culinary team in fast paced casual BBQ outlet. Works along with and directly supervises kitchen staff in the preparation of all foods
-Will likely have 5-7 direct reports in the BOH
-Develops line of communication with front of house management and staff with daily line-ups and other opportunities
-Handle with the assistance from the General Manager all staff disciplinary issues
-Establishes training standards, prep standards for all stations of the kitchen
-Will assist other culinary managers when necessary in order to better serve member/guests throughout the department
-Reports all daily events including guest complaints, engineering issues, purchasing needs and associate concerns via daily recaps
-Take part in regular department meetings
-Follows up on health inspection report to take corrective actions when and where necessary


Experience:

-3-5 years in a high volume restaurant
-At least 3 years of managing a team/ entire BOH.
-Intermediate knife and presentation skills
-BBQ cuisine background a plus
