Sous Chef for minibar by Jose Andres
We are seeking a detail oriented sous chef to help us execute one of the most well-regarded dining
experiences in the country. The successful candidate will take ownership for the daily preparation and execution of the minibar experience, use superior leadership skills to coach and mentor a highly skilled staff, and be prepared to work enthusiastically in a demanding but creative work environment. This is an exempt management position that reports to the head chef.

• Understands and leads consistent menu execution by using a variety of management tools, including line checks, mentorship, and predictable discipline
• Inspires others to improve their work by drawing on high-level of culinary techniques, product
knowledge, and understanding of the history of food
Basic Qualifications
• Culinary Arts or Bachelor’s Degree
• 3 to 5 years experience at a comparable level restaurant
• Demonstrated ability to work long hours in high pressure situations with consistent results
• Basic computer and culinary management skills (inventory, costing, HR, sanitation)
• Ability to train, coach, and evaluate multiple levels of employees
• Ability to work beyond the regular schedule to support special events, emergency staffing needs,
unexpected service situations, etc.
• Fluent in English; Spanish language skills a plus
