Description

Position Summary 

This role plays a key role in ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our venue, including repairs, carpentry work, painting, and general cleaning/maintenance tasks.



Overview of Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks throughout the venue, including but not limited to:

      Carpentry work such as building shelves, repairing furniture, and installing fixtures

  • Painting walls, ceilings, and other surfaces as needed

  • HVAC system maintenance and filter replacements

  • Flooring repairs

  • General maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the venue

  • Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards and address them quickly

  • Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, and ensure they are properly stored and maintained

  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure minimal disruption to operations

  • Support operations as needed in regards to porter/venue tasks items

  • Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others


Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Handyman or similar role, preferably in a commercial or hospitality setting

  • Strong carpentry skills and experience with woodworking tools and equipment

  • Proficiency in painting techniques and knowledge of painting materials and products

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environmental conditions.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
