We are looking for a driven, talented  Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at The Mitre, Hampton Court who will have an influential leadership role in driving the F&B team to deliver an exceptional dining experience, and grow into take the Head of Food and Beverage position on a permanent basis, after the Summer of 2026! 

Our 40-bedroom hotel has been transformed into glamorous restaurants, cocktail bars, enchanting river terraces, an orangery, an all-day café, and even a quirky library for the most curious.  Nestled on the banks of the Thames beside Hampton Court Palace, The Mitre offers riverside elegance just 40 minutes from Central London.

What you'll be doing:

  • Helping to Re-launch our F&B spaces, in line with a new menu offering, both in the restaurant and on our terrace
  • Working for our F&B Project Manager, you'll be on the floor, driving service and team standards and making each guest interaction count 
  • Touching tables, evolving the guest experience and maximising covers and revenue 
  • Managing a team of circa 40, making sure everyone is in the right place, at the right time
  • Constantly training and coaching the team, and creating a sucecssion pipeline

You will be: 

  • An inspirational leader, relevant management experience from a premium F&B outlet. 
  • Able to motivate a team to deliver an excellent guest experience.
  • Approachable and passionate with an enthusiastic, positive manner.
  • Responsible for line managing the F&B team (circa 40 people)
  • Able to lead F&B management meetings and briefings, plan ahead and create effective marketing strategies.
  • Ensure company standards are consistently delivered and HODs deliver the relevant training to our team members
  • Recruit, and develop your Food and Beverage team, in partnership with our Group L&D Manager. 
  • Support the General Manager by being accountable for departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and SOPs
