A Day in the Life

As a Staff Accountant at Mo’ Bettahs, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. You’ll support a variety of core accounting functions including general ledger management, vendor reconciliation, and financial reporting. You'll also collaborate with internal teams across departments and play a critical part in supporting the month-end close, audits, and other key financial processes.


What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Prepare accurate and timely journal entries
  • Review accounts payable payments for accuracy and completeness
  • Manage and prepare monthly reporting for third-party customers
  • Assist with reviewing and reconciling credit card transactions
  • Reconcile vendor accounts and monitor aging reports
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Analyze and validate financial data for accuracy and consistency
  • Maintain fixed asset register, ensuring timely updates for additions and disposals
  • Assist with construction project accounting and coordination with the Development team
  • Record and reconcile sales data from the restaurant point-of-sale system
  • Support the AP Manager with invoice processing and intercompany accounting
  • Assist with the preparation of annual 1099s and audit documentation
  • Collaborate with the Brand Controller and other team members to support financial processes
  • Actively contribute ideas, improvements, and solutions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

  • 1–3 years of accounting experience
  • Working toward or completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard accounting procedures
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
  • Experience with accounting software (ERP systems preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Experience in restaurant, retail, or construction accounting is a plus
