DEPARTMENT: Accounting  
FLSA STATUS: Exempt

POSITION: Accounts Receivable Specialist reports directly to the Accounting Manager

A DAY IN THE LIFE 
 

The AR Specialist is responsible for all accounts receivable functions for the company, including but not limited to processing invoices, tracking payments, and reconciling customer statements. Generally, support the accounting department and assist in accurate and timely financial statements. 

What You’ll Do: 

  •  Generate and send invoices to 3rd party vendors for catering or other sales. 
  • Track payments received and ensure they are timely and accurate. 
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers, ensuring all invoices are correctly applied and outstanding balances are accurate. 
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging reports and follow up with customers on outstanding balances. 
  •  Work closely with POS system to ensure cash and credit card transactions reconcile properly. 
  • Assist with monthly reporting. 
  • Assist in annual audit. 
  • Communicate across departments to ensure customer and 3rd party vendor accounts are accurate. 

What You’ll Need: 

  •  An accounting degree (Bachelor's) or actively pursuing an accounting degree, demonstrating your commitment to continuous growth. 
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience, providing a foundation for your journey with us.
