HR Specialist
Location: Mo’ Bettahs Lehi, UT Office
Department: Human Resources (People Ops)
Reports To: Director, People & Culture

A Day in The Life
As an HR Specialist at Mo' Bettahs you will act as the right hand for the People Operations Department. You will work alongside the team to achieve projects, documenting items, working on assorted items within our applicant tracking system, and working with various leaders throughout the organization to maintain best practices for all HR items. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities: strong interpersonal skills, good organization, empathetic / caring demeanor, welcoming personality, and effective time-management.
What You’ll Do:
Maintain and update employee electronic files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Manage HR databases, including processing new hire information, updating employee status changes, and maintaining records of disciplinary actions.
Provide administrative support to the HR team for various items, managing HR-related documentation, and compliance related forms.
Partnering with General Manager and District Manager’s on assisting with I-9 and E-Verify questions
Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Occasional assistance with recruiting items such as coordinating interview schedules with candidates and hiring managers.
Assist with planning office events along with our Marketing team
Working on new store opening items that includes new location setup in our HRIS and Payroll systems, setting up workers compensation location, as well as ordering employment and payroll law related posters for each new location
Maintaining HR Onboarding documents are up to date in Harri our ATS
Creating of SOP’s to better assist our in-store leadership teams, with the guidance of the HR leader
What You'll Need:
Must have 2-3+ years of HR experience
Must be able to work Monday - Friday in our Lehi, UT office
Maintaining an elevated level of confidentiality
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work effectively as an administrator
Able to work flexibly, reacting correctly to ever-changing schedules
Ability to create and utilize tools to plan out, track progress, and achieve goals
Enthusiastic and self-motivated
Master problem solver with the ability to remain calm under pressure
Excellent time and productivity manager
Strong commitment to culture and company values
Ability to maintain an elevated level of ownership mentality and accountability
Monday.com, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Suite including Teams
Experience with Outlook Calendar, MS Word, Excel, and monday.com
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The position requires qualified individuals to see, hear, and speak (verbally and audibly). Required to ascend and descend stairs; sit and stand for extended periods of time; lift up to 30 pounds; bend, stoop, and kneel. May be required to work outside in various weather conditions. May be required to work on a computer for extended periods of time, including viewing the screen, using a mouse, manipulating a keyboard with hands, and reaching with arms. May be asked to drive or travel by car, air, or other transportation for business purposes. Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced working environment. Must be able to report to work responsive, free from sedatives, and in a non-sedative state. Must disclose prescribed and/or over-the-counter pharmaceuticals that may impair or affect the ability to perform the job's essential functions. Natural and regular stressors occur on the job.
