The Manager of Construction & Facilities oversees and directs all phases of new construction projects and is responsible for the maintenance of existing stores.
Specific responsibilities include :
New Construction
Reviewing Lease language related to construction
Landlord Coordination
Hiring and working with Architects
Managing the permit process
Preparing bid documents
Hiring General Contractors
Managing project timelines
Ordering new store equipment and appliances
Budgeting, tracking invoices, tallying total costs
Internal Communication to all departments
Renewable energy projects
Maintenance
Directing the Construction & Facilities Coordinator
Overseeing store remodels and updates
Prioritizing store projects
Communicating with landlords and property managers
Energy procurement
Workshop
Oversight, planning and scheduling custom fixture build outs and installations
Qualifications:
Must have-
A positive attitude, 'can-do' spirit, willingness to achieve
Strong organizational skills
An understanding of the construction process
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Strong knowledge of MS Word & Excel
Must be-
A high achiever
Proficient in Google Documents and Adobe Acrobat
Able to take directions and implement projects
Self-motivated
Adaptable

Additional Information:
Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, AutoCAD is helpful, but not required
Background in construction of grocery stores is a big plus, but not required
Construction and/or project management experience preferred
This position is based out of MOM's Central Office in Rockville, MD and requires travel in the Mid-Atlantic region
