Our fast growing and dynamic company is seeking a motivated individual to join our Accounting Team and enhance our work environment.


Responsibilities:


  • Pull, analyze and consolidate reports for management that provide insight into P&L (Profit and Loss).

  • Collaborate with the Financial Controller to develop standard operating procedures to increase efficiency and provide a career path for their team.

  • Establish measurable individual and team metrics/goals, set clear expectations and timelines to ensure deliverables are met.

  • Generate monthly statements and ensure all invoices are billed in accordance with established agreements.

  • Ensure all payments are reports are released on a timely basis to landlords per lease agreement/covenants.

  • Oversee sales audit team to report on loss prevention at the store level (i.e., over/short reporting, cash reconciliations, exceptions reporting)

  • Oversee non-merchandising team to identify all fixed asset invoices and maintain accurate listings of all assets of location and category type.

  • Prepare period end fluctuation analysis/Budget vs. Actual to support the timely closing of the period.

  • Collaborate with the Financial Analyst in preparing the annual budget for Financial Controller and CFO review.

  • Coordinate requests from 3rd party accountants on the annual review.

  • Evaluates initiatives, recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

  • Prepares and presents data/presentations in a timely and easy to understand format.

  • Foster a workplace consistent with MOM’s purpose, values, and goals.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • 7 years’ related experience

  • 2-4 year’s experience supervising others

  • 3-5 years’ related retail/merchandise experience

  • Advanced experience with general ledger account reconciliation

  • Advanced experience with financial reporting and analysis

  • Advanced proficiency with automated Accounts Payable systems and Excel

  • Advanced experience with Google Suite & Microsoft Office

  • Excellent attention to detail, especially with communication (written and verbal) and meeting deadlines

  • Ability to prioritize tasks that change frequently and manage unexpected demands

  • Dependable, follows instructions and takes initiative to solve problems

  • Interest in company culture and desire to grow in the field

  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment

  • Advanced experience with Excel and other analytical tools

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Medius, a plus

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a plus


And someone who is:


  • Detailed, accurate, organized, and professional

  • Motivated to enhance/improve processes and procedures

  • Articulate and solutions-oriented with customers, vendors, management, and staff

  • Analytical,  problem solving, and decision making skills
