The Group Sales Manager will achieve monthly room nights and room revenue booking goals
•Manage the entire group process from bookings from proposal to check out
•Actively prospect and develop new accounts
•Manage and develop group leads
•Maintain Weekly Activity Goals: Prospecting Calls, Site Inspections, Client Entertainment, Client
•Appointments, and Networking Events for both group as well as other markets such as Travel Industry
•Attend weekly Sales meetings
•Submit weekly and monthly sales reports on a timely basis
•Maintain all files with current trace dates, accurate histories and all relevant information regarding booking activity in Delphi
•Promote a high-quality hotel brand by demonstrating professionalism to both clients and colleagues
•Participate in trade shows, conventions and promotional events within the hotel, the industry and customer organization
•75% reacting to leads, 25% proactive
•Weekly prospecting calls all entered into Delphi
•Management of group travel, meetings, events and group sales.
•Cold calling, negotiating and outside sales call experience.
•Strong written and oral communication skills.
•Proven ability to work well independently and with a team.
•Must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
•Flexibility to travel for training, meetings, conventions, trade shows and other business-related events.
•High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
•Accountable for proactively soliciting potential new accounts or lead opportunities by leveraging business intelligence using internal and external resources.
•Possess key knowledge of the overall market, competitor's strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand.
•Builds and maintains rapport with customers throughout the sales process, effectively presents hotel benefits and features based on customer needs
•Persuasive communicator who takes ownership and delivers results. Strong administrative and management acumen.
•Innovative thinker, focused on driving results.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
•Experience with OPERA, Salesforce Delphi preferred
