Room Service Attendant

Are you an experienced Night Porter/Room Service Attendant?

Do you like working nights and are happy to work 4 between 8pm and 7am?

We are looking for night staff to join our team in Old Street to cover the hours of 8:00pm to 7:00am, providing a small menu of food and drinks overnight to hotel guests.

Moor & Mead is the latest venue addition to come from the team at Barworks. We are situated across two levels on the ground and first floor of the Montcalm East Hotel building, located just off Old Street Station - The venue consists of two newly refurbished bars, a modern dining restaurant and lounge. We are looking forward to welcoming guests from the hotel and the surrounding neighbourhoods alike, for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

All we ask for is a passion for food, drinks & service - reliability and a can do attitude will go a long way too!

We are looking for a passionate individual to cater, deliver and exceed our guests’ needs and expectations, providing the highest levels of customer service.

The Room Service Waiter/Waitress responsibilities include,the following tasks :

- Taking orders from guests by phone, being accommodating and friendly and professional at all times is a must - a high level of spoken English will be needed to perform adequately in this area

- Ensure full knowledge of the room service menu and services available to guests.

- Complete preparation and delivery of drinks and food to guests quickly and efficiently

- To clear, clean and lay room service trays and check the state and cleanliness of crockery, cutlery and glasses.

- To consistently deliver and exceed positive customer service at all times and ensure hotel standards of service are adhered to at all times

The successful Room Service Waiter/Waitress will:

- Have previous experience within a customer service environment, preferably within the luxury hotel or catering industry.

- Have commitment to respond to guest requests and deliver high level of service & be passionate about customer satisfaction and endeavour to create the perfect customer experience.

- Be fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of other languages will be of advantage.

-Have a positive can-do attitude and be an excellent team player.

This a largely autonomous role to the ideal candidate would have experience in basic food and drinks prep and well ad front of house skills.
