Description

We’re looking for an experienced second in command for our high volume 5 star Hotel Kitchen just off Old Street Roundabout/City Road.

About The Candidate

As the Sous Chef you will;


- be in full control and charge of the kitchen if the Head Chef is absent

- be a positive & energetic leader of the whole brigade and lead by example in and out of service 

- control Food Standard, Consistency, Food Hygiene, Presentation and Quality 

- ensure efficient communication within the brigade and all FOH team members 

- assist in stock control, GP compliance, training & development of junior chefs & keeping records in check

- manage pass control, ensure streamlined and efficient output 

- manage the team alongside the Head Chef and ensure cleanliness standards are in always place & kept up 

- be fully supported by our team of talented Executive Chef & Operations

- comply with Hotel standards & policies and ensure swift reaction to Hotel guests' feedback and Hotel management requests

On top of your hourly pay you will receive service charge which is fully distributed via TRONC amongst the entire team. This could equate to around £10k per year or more as the venue grows.

-        Located a stone throw from Old Street Station & Angel Station we offer excellent transport connections inside and outside of London

-        Fresh, modern European cuisine and home-made pizzas as well as buffet style breakfast for hotel guests

-        Outside of breakfast hours we also serve the general public who come into our bar & restaurant

-        Two floors of service areas with casual yet professional service
