GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of all NAYA locations at the direction of operations. Also responsible for managing the budget and repair and maintenance (R&M) company equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the R&M of 15+ restaurants across four states
  • Creates and manages the budget for R&M projects
  • Manages vendor relations and negotiates service proposals and contracts
  • Manages and approves Resq (maintenance system) work orders
  • Approves invoices for services
  • Acts as the point of contact for the landlords and building management:
  • Communicates outstanding issues that fall under the landlord’s responsibility.
  • Builds a database for warranty equipment into our R&M system
  • Handles and escalates warranty calls - managerial or no?
  • Works with Ops on:
  • Solving restaurant needs such as shelving, storefront repair, outdoor seating, etc
  • New restaurant openings, remodels, and construction projects
  • Trains restaurant managers on facilities procedures and proper equipment use and maintenance
  • Conducts facilities audits using our Ops tools
  • Carries out maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritizes emergency/escalated calls as needed
  • Investigates violations and provides solutions for repairs and/or construction.
  • Installs and replaces basic electrical fixtures, light switches, receptacles, light bulbs etc.
  • Operates hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment needed to perform maintenance and repair service
  • Promotes and practices safe work habits, wears protective safety equipment and follows MSDS and OSHA standards
  • Maintains an inventory of tools and supplies

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of related work experience, 1+ years of managerial experience
  • Proficient computer knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of kitchen equipment, refrigeration repair, basic plumbing, and electrical equipment
  • Technical or trade school background preferred
  • Refrigeration or HVAC background/certification is a plus
  • Advanced ability to:

- Speak, understand, read, and write in English
- Manage their time and job responsibilities
- Communicate on a high level with the team, executives and vendors
- Competently use a variety of gauges, meters, measuring instruments, hoists, rigging equipment, torches, and hand tools
- Communicate with the team, management and vendors
- Lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day
- Successfully perform all work duties in fast-paced and challenging work environments, maintain professionalism when working under stress
- Work nights, weekends and holidays according to the needs of the business
- Be flexible to respond to emergencies and sudden changes of schedule
