Position Title: IT Specialist

Position Overview

As IT Specialist at Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Koh Samui, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, security, and continuous innovation of all technology systems across the resort. Your mission is to deliver seamless guest experiences powered by cutting-edge hospitality technology while supporting operational excellence and digital transformation.


Proactive and solutions-oriented, you thrive in a fast-paced environment, expertly balancing hands-on technical support with strategic initiatives. Your leadership in managing critical infrastructure, cybersecurity protocols, and guest-facing technologies ensures that every touchpoint reflects the premium Nikki Beach experience.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and performance of all IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and Wi-Fi systems.

  • Ensure 24/7 availability and optimal performance of operational and guest-facing technologies.

  • Manage core systems including Property Management Systems (Opera), POS platforms (Infrasys, Micros), CRM tools, and digital signage solutions.

  • Guarantee smooth functionality of guest amenities such as in-room entertainment systems, mobile apps, and high-speed internet.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and swiftly resolve technical issues to minimize service disruptions.

  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols in compliance with GDPR, PCI DSS, and industry standards.

  • Collaborate closely with the Corporate IT team to align local technology strategies with global brand objectives.

  • Lead technology upgrades and digital transformation projects aimed at enhancing the guest journey and operational efficiency.

  • Manage the IT department budget, ensuring cost-effective investments aligned with strategic priorities.

  • Conduct regular server backups, system audits, and preventive maintenance to safeguard data integrity.

  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventories, service records, and technical documentation.

  • Support and train employees to optimize their use of property management and operational systems.

  • Secure IT environments through robust access controls, firewall configurations, and disaster recovery planning.

  • Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure uninterrupted service, timely updates, and successful project implementations.

  • Provide hands-on support during critical upgrades, system outages, or emergency situations.


Required Qualifications and Competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in a similar IT role, ideally within the luxury hospitality sector.

  • Strong knowledge of PMS (Opera), POS (Infrasys, Micros), CRM tools, and digital signage platforms.

  • Proficiency in network architecture, server environments, cloud services, and mobile device integration.

  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices, compliance requirements, and data protection protocols.

  • Analytical mindset with excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Capable of driving innovation while delivering hands-on support for daily IT operations.

  • Strong communication skills; fluency in English is mandatory, and Thai language skills are highly desirable. Other languages are a plus.

  • Professional, solution-driven, and adaptable under pressure.
