& Senior Project Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a
highly skilled and experienced Architect & Senior Project Manager to lead
the design and delivery of hotel development and renovation projects of our
global portfolio. This dual-role position requires a balance of creative
architectural vision with strong project management capabilities, ensuring
projects are completed in accordance with brand standards and quality
expectations.
This role aims to oversee and ensure
effective delivery of:
- Pipeline and future development
projects lead by other investors and developers, with Nikki Beach Hospitality
Group as the operator.
- Existing hotels Capex projects
technical support and Project Management, working closely with Nikki Beach’s Brand
Architectural & Interior Design Manager.
- Guidance for existing hotels
Maintenance and Engineering departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the architectural design review
process for new hotel developments and renovations, from concept through
construction documentation working with consultant Architects and Interior
designers, as well as Nikki Beach’s Brand Architectural & Interior
Design Manager for Beach Clubs and F&B outlets.
- Develop design proposals, space
planning solutions, and feasibility studies.
- Ensure designs meet hospitality
industry standards, brand guidelines, building codes, and sustainability
goals.
- Coordinate with interior
designers, consultants, and other stakeholders to deliver cohesive and
functional hospitality environments.
Project Management:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of
hotel projects including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and quality
control.
- Serve as the primary point of
contact between stakeholders including clients, consultants, contractors,
and regulatory authorities.
- Manage permitting and approval
processes with local authorities.
- Travel to conduct site visits to
monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with design and
construction specifications.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive
project documentation, reports, and status updates.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Collaborate with developers, hotel
operators, and brand representatives to integrate operational requirements
into the design.
- Facilitate regular meetings with
internal and external stakeholders to review progress and align
expectations.
- Support the group’s Beach Club and
F&B division’s projects, where not directly associated with hotels.
- Experience with luxury hotel
brands and familiarity with operator approval processes.
- Proven experience managing hotel
projects from concept through completion.
- Strong knowledge of building
systems, codes (NFPA), and construction processes.
- Oversee content for
key standard divisions, including:
- Architectural
Design
- TSA
Process Documents
- Mechanical,
Electrical & Plumbing (MEP)
- Life
& Fire Safety
- Technology
& Sustainability Guidelines
- Proficiency in Bluebeam,
AutoCAD and MS Project (or similar PM tools) highly desired.
- Excellent communication,
leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities
and attention to detail.
- This role is for global projects
and periods of travel away from Barcelona are expected throughout the year
to adapt to the design process, approval and construction. This is not a site-based
role, but in pre-opening, some periods of site inspection will be
required.
- This role is based in the Nikki
Beach offices in Barcelona, Spain and candidates should be already based in
Barcelona or ready to relocate with limited further assistance.
Required
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Degree in Architecture or similar
building design degree. PMP certification or similar is a strong asset.
- Professional qualification as an
Architect or similar building design professional body.
- Minimum 8 years of experience with
Hotel design, with at least 5 years in project management in hospitality
projects. Preferably in an international background.
- LEED or WELL accreditation a plus.
- Multilingual capabilities are an
advantage in international projects. Fluency in English is required. Working
knowledge of Spanish is an advantage but not strictly necessary.
