Position: Associate Counsel
Location: Miami, Florida, USA
Contract: Full-Time

Position Overview

Nikki Beach Hospitality Group is seeking a highly experienced and commercially driven legal professional to join our global legal team as Associate Counsel, reporting directly to the General Counsel and working closely with senior leadership.

This role plays a critical role in shaping and executing the company’s global legal strategy. The successful candidate will act as a trusted business partner, providing strategic legal guidance across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring robust governance, regulatory compliance and risk management in a fast-paced, international hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee corporate governance, group structure, and compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring alignment with business strategy.

• Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, proactively identifying legal risks and providing commercially focused solutions.

• Drive legal strategy for global operations, ensuring consistency and scalability across regions.

• Lead the negotiation, drafting, and execution of complex commercial agreements, including management, licensing, artist, and vendor contracts.

• Oversee and strategically manage the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including brand protection and enforcement in collaboration with external counsel.

• Own relationships with external legal advisors, ensuring efficient and high-quality legal support globally.

• Provide leadership on regulatory matters, monitoring legal developments and translating them into actionable business guidance.

• Partner cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Operations, and Commercial teams to support key initiatives and business growth.

• Oversee insurance programs and broader risk management frameworks.

• Lead and contribute to high-impact, cross-border projects, ensuring legal alignment across time zones and jurisdictions.

What We’re Looking For

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar (or equivalent).

• 8+ years of experience, ideally with a mix of in-house and top-tier law firm exposure.

• Proven experience advising senior stakeholders in a global, multi-jurisdictional environment.

• Strong expertise in corporate governance, commercial contracts, IP, and regulatory compliance.

• Experience in hospitality, lifestyle, or consumer-facing industries strongly preferred.

• Highly commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.

• Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to operate autonomously while influencing cross-functional teams.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation includes a competitive base salary, performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package. Salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
