Historic Neirs Tavern & Grill is a 190 year old community focused company whose primary purpose is "to preserve the history of nyc's oldest bar by connecting with the community we serve". Everything we do and every decision we make is based on that mission.

Candidate will asst. owner in various admin duties, community engagement initiatives, guest retention strategies, bartend and management activities. You must be positive and willing to learn ALL aspects of restaurant management and serve as asst. manager in absence of GM once you're fully trained.
Duties:
-Assist with Sales and customer acquisition (commission and profit sharing available)
-Be A connector (between guests) and engage guests to make sure a positive experience (no one should feel alone here)
-Super friendly & know how to hold a GREAT conversation
-positive outlook on life. A people person that practice personal development
-work with owner to formulate and deploy community Engagement strategies
-travel to attend community meetings

Truly adhering to our purpose and 5 core values is what we value most. Being very close and local to our business and community is highly important although not required
Reliable transportation is recommended. PLEASE PROVIDE A RESUME AND LET US KNOW YOUR HOURS OF AVAILABILITY IF YOU ARE CHOSEN.
SKILLS
1-Bartending and POS (you will be required to bartend 1-2 times a week
2-Organizational skills ( filing paperwork, tracking invoices)
3-Administrative (microsoft office, social media etc)
4-adept at dealing with difficult situations and don't take anything personally.
5-Solution focused when obstacles arise
6-public speaking
7-sales skills
