Christmas Host (Temp) | Nest Bishopsgate | £14 to £18 per hour including tronc

First impressions are everything, and this Christmas we want yours to be the first one our guests get. If you can greet a party of 30 with a smile, juggle a busy reservations book and keep calm when the door is packed, we want to meet you.

Nest sits right in the heart of Bishopsgate, serving the City from the first after-work round to the last. Great beer, a solid wine list, good food and a team that knows half our regulars by name. In December that means packed Thursdays, corporate parties and festive rushes, and we need someone at the front to keep it all flowing.

What you’ll be doing

Welcoming every guest warmly and making them feel looked after from the moment they walk in
Managing reservations, walk-ins and the waiting list so the venue runs smoothly
Greeting Christmas party groups and corporate bookings and getting them settled quickly
Answering the phone and booking enquiries in a friendly, professional way
Working closely with the floor and bar teams to keep tables turning and guests happy
Helping out on the floor when the door is quieter

What we’re looking for

Experience in a host, front of house or customer facing role is a plus, but personality matters most
Confident, friendly and great at talking to people
Organised and calm under pressure, even when everyone arrives at once
A team-first mindset and a positive attitude
Availability for evenings, weekends and through the Christmas period
You must be 18 or over and have the right to work in the UK
