Kitchen Assistant – Bedruthan Wild Café

  • £12.71 to £13.45 per hour + a share of hotel tips  (approx. £1 per hour)
  • Seasonal contract: 31 March 2026 – 31 October 2026
  • 40 hours per week | Morning, evening and weekend shifts

Our kitchen at Bedruthan Wild Café are fast-paced, hardworking and built around teamwork. Behind every great service is a team of people keeping everything clean, organised and running smoothly — and that’s where you come in.

We’re looking for reliable and motivated Kitchen Assistants to join us for the 2026 season. This is a vital role within the kitchen team, supporting chefs and helping maintain the high standards our restaurants are known for.

You don’t need years of experience — what matters most is attitude. If you’re hardworking, positive, happy to get stuck in and enjoy being part of a supportive team, you’ll fit right in here.

This is a brilliant opportunity to spend the season working in one of Cornwall’s most exciting hospitality businesses, surrounded by incredible coastal scenery and a team that genuinely looks out for each other.

What you’ll be doing

• Keeping the kitchen clean, safe and organised throughout service
• Washing and storing kitchen equipment, utensils and dishes to a high standard
• Cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, fridges and appliances
• Supporting chefs with basic food preparation including washing, peeling and chopping vegetables
• Emptying bins and managing waste safely and efficiently
• Using cleaning products and chemicals safely and correctly
• Reporting maintenance or equipment issues when needed
• Following food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards at all times

What we’re looking for

• A strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Someone reliable, motivated and happy working as part of a team
• Ability to stay organised and work efficiently in a busy kitchen
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and support the wider kitchen team
• Pride in cleanliness and attention to detail
• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is helpful, but not essential — full training will be provided
