Description

Are you a warm, welcoming person who loves making others feel at ease?

Do you thrive in calm, nurturing, guest‑focused environments?

Are you passionate about wellbeing and creating memorable spa experiences that truly make a difference?

What do we want?

We’re looking for a naturally friendly, organised and guest‑focused Spa Host to join our nurturing wellness team. As the first point of contact for guests visiting our award‑winning spas, you’ll set the tone for their entire experience — ensuring they feel relaxed, informed and cared for from the moment they arrive.

This role blends reception duties, guest care, coordination with therapists and maintaining serene spa spaces. It’s ideal for someone who brings warmth, calm and genuine care to every interaction, helping us deliver exceptional wellbeing experiences on the stunning clifftops of North Cornwall.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Welcome spa guests with warmth, professionalism and genuine hospitality

• Manage bookings, schedules and guest queries using digital systems

• Provide guidance on treatments, facilities and spa products

• Maintain immaculate spa, thermal and relaxation areas

• Support therapists with operational needs and guest flow

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure a calming, restorative environment

• Handle payments, check‑ins/outs and administrative tasks

• Deliver exceptional hospitality aligned with our brand values

Qualifications:

• Previous customer service or front‑of‑house experience

• Confident using booking systems and computers

• Genuine interest in wellness, hospitality or guest care

• Experience in a spa, leisure or wellbeing environment (desirable)

• Knowledge of treatments or spa products (desirable)

• First Aid certification (desirable)

Key Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organisation and time‑management abilities

• Calm, guest‑focused approach

• Digital literacy with booking and admin systems

• Proactive problem‑solving

• Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team

What we offer:

As a family‑owned, independent Cornish business, we value every member of our talented team. We offer a range of benefits and perks to reflect our commitment to making our hotels such a desirable place to work. These include:

• £12.71 per hour + share of hotel tips

• A people‑centric working environment

• Learning and internal career progression opportunities

• A part‑time contract with 28 days holiday per year (29 after 1 year, pro rata)

• Long service scheme – enjoy a free stay at Bedruthan after your first year

• Enjoy 40% off food and drinks, along with a range of other hotel services

• Local partnership discounts

• Health Shield Healthcare Plan

• Temporary on‑site team accommodation available

Perched on the rugged clifftops of North Cornwall, Bedruthan and Scarlet have always been trailblazers in hospitality — setting the standard for exceptional experiences and refined service. When you join us, you become part of one of the UK’s most exciting independent companies.

This isn’t simply a job — it’s the place you want to be.
