Position Summary
Bussers are responsible for all aspects of table management to help ensure our guests have an exceptional dining experience. Bussers also ensure the cleanliness of the dining areas and the overall efficiency of service throughout the restaurant.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains tables by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to guest needs.
- Supports servers by continually replenishing silver, condiments, and trash containers and clearing bus stations.
- Prepares service workstations thoroughly and restocks side stations as needed.
- Prepares dining room according to restaurant guidelines setting and resetting tables.
- Works with the rest of the front-of-house team to ensure that the dining room is fully set up on time and maintained throughout service, offering help to teammates as necessary.
- Communicates with management about stock and orders for chemicals, paper goods, linens, and disposables.
- Escalate guest questions and concerns to the manager on duty as appropriate.
- Maintains complete knowledge of Noble Food & Pursuits' policies and procedures, ensures that all practices and policies are being upheld.
- Adheres to all Department of Health and Safety standards related to food handling, hygiene, and alcohol service.
- Maintain sanitation to Department of Health standards, keeping service and dining areas clean and organized.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely.
- Inspects the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment and supplies, ensuring everything complies with standards.
- Informs supervisor on duty immediately of any DOH or OSHA/workplace safety violations.
- Attends mandatory meetings.
- Adheres to posted schedules.
- Completes other duties assigned by management.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- May be required to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
- Kneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on feet for extended periods of time.
- Working in an environment that may be exposed to hazardous equipment and situations and conditions that produce cuts or minor burns.
- Sometimes wear protective and safety attire, such as gloves.
Experience/Education
- 1+ years experience in a high volume restaurant environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the natural ability to create a welcoming and valued guest experience.
- Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Polished, professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to stay calm and composed under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with tact and diplomacy in handling challenging situations
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must have the ability to read, speak, understand, follow written directions, and verbal instructions in English.
