***HOURS FOR POSITION ARE 4AM-12PM TYPICALLY***

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a variety of breads
  • Follow recipes and ensure consistency in product quality and taste
  • Monitor oven temperatures and baking times to ensure proper cooking
  • Maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies
  • Clean and sanitize work area and equipment regularly
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation

Additional Skills and Responsibilities

  • Previous experience as a baker or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently
  • Proficient in using kitchen tools, such as knives, mixers, and ovens
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good communication skills to interact with customers and other team members

Preferred Skills

  • Scratch bread baking experience.
  • Experience with maintaining sourdough starter.
  • Experience with lamination and viennoiserie.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • May be required to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Kneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on feet for extended periods of time.
  • Working in an environment that may be exposed to hazardous equipment and situations and conditions that produce cuts or minor burns.
  • Sometimes wear protective and safety attire, such as gloves.
