At Copain, we bring together the comfort of a neighborhood café with the craft of a true boulangerie. Our team of bakers and pastry professionals take pride in hand-crafted quality, from slow fermented breads to refined pastries and desserts made fresh daily.

The SouthPark location is home to both our retail café and production bakery, where teamwork, consistency, and attention to detail are part of every shift.

We are looking for an experienced Overnight Pastry Cook to join our team.

In this role, you will work closely with the pastry and bakery team to bake, finish, package, and organize products for both retail and wholesale production. This position plays an important role in maintaining quality, organization, and smooth transitions between shifts.

What You’ll Do

  • Bake and finish daily pastries including muffins, almond croissants, quiches, cinnamon rolls, and other seasonal products
  • Glaze, garnish, finish, and package pastries with consistency and attention to detail
  • Package, label, and sort products accurately for retail and wholesale locations
  • Assist the pastry team in meeting daily production goals and timelines
  • Maintain organization throughout the bakery including racks, storage areas, speed racks, and workstations
  • Update production boards throughout the shift and communicate with chefs regarding timing, quality concerns, or equipment issues
  • Support smooth transitions between morning and overnight teams through communication and organization
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards throughout the shift
  • Assist with daily cleaning projects and help maintain a guest-ready and production-ready bakery

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience working in a professional pastry, dessert, or bakery production environment required
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing visually consistent, high-quality products
  • Experience with pastry finishing techniques including glazing, garnishing, decorating, and packaging
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong sense of organization, cleanliness, and urgency throughout the shift
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work closely with chefs and fellow bakers
  • Passion for hospitality, craftsmanship, and continued growth within the industry
