Position Summary

Dishwashers are responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils through manual and machine cleaning methods. Additionally, dishwashers are expected to keep the dishwashing area clean and safe.

Job Requirements

• Completes opening and closing side work checklist for shift daily.
• Supports staff by continually operating the dish washer and washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and flatware.
• Cleans and sets up BOH departments including kitchens, trash and compost room, and bathrooms.
• Sets up service workstations thoroughly and on time and properly uses and maintains all equipment.
• Timely receipt, storage and monthly inventory of chemicals, paper goods, linens, and disposables.
• Communicates with BOH management about stock and orders for chemicals, paper-goods, linens, and disposables.
• Is a team player; supports and assists your fellow team members whenever possible.
• Completes other duties assigned by management.
• Maintains sanitation to the Department of Health standards; keeps work area clean and organized.
• The ability to define and effectively solve a variety of changing situations under stress; ability to adapt to changing circumstances.  
• Self-driven, results-oriented; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
• Flexible work schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
