Rooster’s Wood Fired Kitchen SouthPark is looking for a skilled Sous Chef to join our SouthPark team. We are known for simple, ingredient driven cooking centered around wood fired meats, fresh seafood, seasonal vegetables, and house made breads. Our kitchen combines the energy of upscale casual dining with the standards, discipline, and execution of a true scratch kitchen.

As part of Noble Food & Pursuits, we are dedicated to creating exceptional dining experiences while giving back to the communities that support us through local outreach and charitable efforts. We are looking for a Sous Chef who can step into service, lead from the line, teach the team, and help drive daily kitchen execution. This role is hands on and built for someone who is comfortable running shifts, overseeing hourly line cooks and prep cooks, and reinforcing strong scratch kitchen fundamentals every day. We invest in our team through hands on training, mentorship, and cross learning, creating real opportunities for growth within our group.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in a high volume scratch kitchen
  • Comfort running kitchen shifts and keeping service organized, efficient, and on pace
  • Strong oversight of hourly line cooks and prep cooks with the ability to hold standards and direct the flow of the kitchen
  • Ability to teach and coach knife skills, station organization, recipe execution, plating, and prep systems
  • Strong foundation in classic cooking methods, sauces, butchery, prep management, and line execution
  • High standards for cleanliness, organization, urgency, and consistency
  • Calm under pressure with the ability to lead by example and earn respect through action

What You’ll Do

  • Run shifts and help lead daily kitchen operations with confidence and urgency
  • Oversee line cooks and prep cooks to ensure prep, station setup, execution, and cleanliness are up to standard
  • Teach and develop the team through daily coaching, skill reinforcement, and hands on support
  • Work directly with the Executive Chef and leadership team to maintain food quality, consistency, and strong service execution
  • Assist with inventory, ordering, prep management, and daily production responsibilities
  • Help build a kitchen culture rooted in accountability, teamwork, and scratch made excellence
