At The Jimmy, we bring the best of Italian cuisine to Charlotte with our vibrant pizzeria and pastaria. From hand stretched pizzas cooked in a wood fired oven to house made pastas, we are passionate about creating made from scratch dishes. Located in Myers Park, we offer a casual but elevated dining experience where great food, strong hospitality, and a true sense of community come together.

As part of Noble Food & Pursuits, we are dedicated to creating exceptional dining experiences while giving back to the communities that support us through local outreach and charitable efforts. We believe in developing people from within and are willing to invest in the right Sous Chef who has the right foundation, attitude, and drive to grow. This role is a strong opportunity for a newer or rising Sous Chef who is ready for more responsibility and wants to learn under experienced culinary leadership. We invest in hands on training, cross training, and mentorship, creating an environment where team members can build real skills and grow their careers.

What We’re Looking For

  • A strong culinary foundation with experience in a high volume kitchen
  • Confidence in core cooking skills such as knife work, sauce work, prep organization, and plating
  • A genuine desire to learn, grow, and take the next step in a culinary leadership career
  • Calm, steady leadership presence with a willingness to lead by example and support the team
  • Pride in cleanliness, organization, consistency, and doing things the right way
  • A team oriented mindset and the ability to work closely with others to solve problems and improve performance
  • Passion for food, hospitality, and becoming part of a kitchen culture built on accountability and development

What You’ll Do

  • Support daily kitchen operations and help ensure smooth service execution during shifts
  • Work alongside the Executive Chef and culinary leadership team to build confidence, skills, and leadership ability
  • Coach and support line cooks while helping maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and execution
  • Assist with prep, production, inventory, ordering, and kitchen organization
  • Continue learning the administrative and leadership side of the Sous Chef role while remaining hands on in the kitchen
  • Help uphold the Noble Food & Pursuits mission by creating an environment where both staff and guests feel valued
