Position Summary:

The Floor Manager is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the service floor to ensure exceptional guest experience. They lead the front-of-house team, maintain high service standards, coordinate communication between departments, and ensure the floor is clean, organized, and fully operational. The Floor Manager acts as a key leader on the floor, setting the tone for service quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support front-of-house staff during service hours.
  • Oversee floor operations to ensure seamless and efficient guest experience.
  • Monitor staff performance, provide coaching, and assist with on-the-job training.
  • Manage floor setup, cleanliness, organization, and readiness for service.
  • Greet and interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and address complaints professionally.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to maintain smooth service flow.
  • Lead daily briefings to communicate specials, promotions, and important updates.
  • Handle seating arrangements, table assignments, and reservation flow.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards always.
  • Assist in the management of floor supplies and report any maintenance needs.
  • Encourage upselling and suggestive selling among staff to maximize revenue.
  • Manage conflict resolutions among staff or customers when necessary.
  • Provide reports on floor performance, guest feedback, and operational challenges to senior management.
