Position Overview

At Nikki Beach Baku, the Runner plays an essential role in supporting the seamless execution of service and enhancing the guest journey. More than just delivering food and beverages, you are a vital part of the rhythm that keeps our venue running smoothly. Energetic, detail-oriented, and guest-focused, you embody the spirit of the Nikki Beach lifestyle by supporting your team and maintaining an elevated and efficient service environment. Your dedication ensures every plate, every tray, and every moment contributes to an unforgettable experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist waitstaff in delivering food and beverages promptly, safely, and with precision
  Maintain continuous communication with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations

• Keep service stations, trays, and equipment clean, organized, and ready for use

• Proactively support colleagues during high-volume periods with a positive attitude

• Perform mise-en-place duties before, during, and after service in accordance with daily setup standards

• Rotate through runner roles including food runner, floor runner, and drink runner as needed

• Greet guests politely when interacting, maintaining a friendly and professional presence

• Respect guest space while remaining available and observant to needs

• Adhere to hygiene, grooming, and safety standards at all times

• Follow all opening, closing, and shift change procedures as outlined by SOPs

• Understand venue layout, service flows, and recycling procedures

• Communicate any guest or service concerns to supervisors in a timely manner

• Support the team with flexibility, adapting to fast-paced or calm service rhythms

• Identify and recall returning guests and assist in personalizing their experience when possible
  
  

Required Qualifications and Competencies

• Positive, guest-oriented attitude with a strong sense of teamwork

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask while remaining calm and efficient

• Clear, respectful communication and active listening skills

• Physical stamina and ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Comfortable carrying trays and maneuvering through a busy venue

• Familiarity with service etiquette, timing, and quality expectations

• Eagerness to learn and develop through training and feedback

• Flexibility to adapt to changing service needs and team priorities

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage items, presentation, and menu terms

• Fluency in English; additional languages such as Russian and Azerbaijani are an advantage

• Understanding of Nikki Beach brand standards and lifestyle approach
