Location: Nikki Beach Baku
Contract: Seasonal
The Commis Chef supports the culinary team in delivering high-quality food preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and adherence to Nikki Beach standards. This role assists senior chefs in daily kitchen operations, maintains hygiene standards, and contributes to a positive and collaborative kitchen environment.
- Assist in the preparation and production of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure consistency and quality of dishes leaving the kitchen
- Prepare mise en place and organize ingredients efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, equipment, and storage areas
- Follow HACCP and local food safety regulations at all times
- Support senior chefs with daily tasks, events, and service requirements
- Monitor stock levels and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and F&B team to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain high standards of personal grooming and professionalism
- Attend team briefings, trainings, and operational meetings as required
- Passion for culinary arts and hospitality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations, hygiene, and food safety standards
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Fluency in English; additional languages such as Russian and Azerbaijani are a plus
