Now recruiting for a Welcome Team Member at No.42 Margate by GuestHouse.

Love the sea breeze? Think a smile can be more refreshing than an ocean dip? Can you turn a weary traveller into a smiling guest faster than you can say “room with a view”?

Here at No.42 Margate by GuestHouse, we’re a small but stylish, family-run boutique hotel on the bracing Kent coast, and we’re looking for a Welcome Team Member to greet our guests with sunshine (even when the Margate weather doesn’t cooperate!).

What you’ll be doing:

• Welcoming sandy-footed holidaymakers, romantic weekenders and coastal explorers.
• Checking in and out guests with warmth, humour and just the right hint of seaside charm.
• Sharing insider tips on the best local boutiques, hidden coves and sunset spots (obviously, our Pearly Cow Terrace and rooftop bar will be at the top of your list!).
• Supporting our bar team by making the occasional tea, coffee or Seaside Martini.
• Keeping our lobby and lounge as welcoming as your smile.

What we’re looking for:

• A natural host with a talent for making guests feel instantly at home.
• Someone who stays cool under pressure, even when the tide (or check-in queue) comes in all at once.
• A gift for conversation, from answering “Where’s the beach?” to “Which rockpool is best for crabbing?”.
• Hospitality experience is lovely, but a sparkling personality is non-negotiable!
