Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Translate commercial objectives, revenue priorities and customer insight into clear marketing plans and integrated campaigns across Urban Playground brands.
  • Own the campaign calendar from concept and briefing through delivery, optimisation, reporting and post-campaign learning.
  • Develop campaign concepts, messaging and creative briefs, maintaining strong brand standards and approving routine creative output.
  • Lead specialist agency partners across paid media, organic social, PR, content and other disciplines, setting clear briefs, deadlines, deliverables and performance expectations.
  • Challenge agency recommendations using performance data, customer insight and commercial priorities, ensuring activity remains focused on business outcomes.
  • Own marketing performance reporting, combining agency, CRM, website, booking and campaign data to identify learning, actions and recommendations for the Head of Commercial.
  • Use CRM and customer insight to identify segmentation, lifecycle, retention, reactivation and campaign opportunities, coordinating execution through the Marketing Executive and specialist partners.
  • Monitor marketing spend against agreed budgets and plans, supported by accurate PO, invoice and spend tracking from the Marketing Executive.
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations and site teams to align campaigns, launches and activations with pipeline, booking, revenue and venue priorities.
  • Manage and develop the Marketing Executive, setting priorities and ensuring day-to-day marketing operations are organised, accurate and delivered on time.
  • Continuously review campaign and channel effectiveness, recommending tests, changes or investment shifts where evidence supports them.
  • Monitor competitor activity, customer behaviour and relevant marketing trends, applying useful insight to future plans and opportunities.

Skills and Requirements

Technical

  • Proven experience planning and delivering integrated marketing campaigns in a broad marketing role.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, CRM/email, paid media, organic social, website/CMS and customer journey principles.

  • Commercially minded and curious, able to connect marketing activity to customer behaviour, bookings and revenue.
  • Exceptional attention to detail without losing sight of the overall objective.
  • Proactive and accountable, comfortable taking ownership of decisions without continual direction.
  • Analytical and questioning, able to explain what performance data means and recommend what should happen next.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple brands, campaigns, agencies and deadlines while maintaining quality.
  • A confident, collaborative communicator and supportive people manager who delegates effectively and develops capability.
  • Calm, adaptable and solutions-focused, with a strong bias towards completing work and closing loops.
