Pastry Chef de Partie - Oblix at the Shard


Oblix - Located on the 32nd floor of The Shard, Oblix is a sophisticated, contemporary restaurant, split across two different spaces offering views across central London from East to West. 

  • Oblix West is a refined, urban dining space where people can relax and enjoy a variety of options from our menus from brunch to dinner.
  • Oblix East offers diners an eclectic mix of innovative dishes along with award winning cocktails and afternoon tea.


We are looking for a passionate Pastry Chef de Partie to join our team here at Oblix. Our Pastry Chef de Partie are hardworking, dedicated and strive to deliver the superior level of customer service that we are known for. Oblix Chef de Partie's are confident working at a fast pace whilst maintaining Oblix's high standards.



Main Duties
As a Pastry Chef de Partie, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain sufficient mise en place levels to ensure smooth service flow, while focusing on minimizing waste
  • Monitor the quality, consistency, appearance, and taste of all pastry products, delivering perfection in every dish
  • Conduct daily hygiene checks in storage areas, ensuring compliance with Oblix’s rigorous cleanliness and safety standards
  • Explore and learn other kitchen sections to enhance team collaboration and efficiency
  • Maintain high personal hygiene and appearance standards, reflecting Oblix’s commitment to excellence
  • Coach and mentor Pastry Commis Chefs, helping them develop their skills and align with Oblix’s high standards of quality and consistency.
