Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Restaurant Manager to lead our dynamic dining team and ensure an exceptional customer experience. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily restaurant operations, manage staff, uphold food safety standards, and maintain high levels of service excellence. Your leadership will drive the success of our restaurant, fostering a positive environment for both guests and team members. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your management skills in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to ensure top performance.
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain quality standards and consistency across all menu items.
  • Manage daily operations including shift management, inventory control, and food safety compliance using systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Control food costs and manage budgets through effective food management, waste reduction, and inventory oversight.
  • Supervise kitchen activities, including food production, catering, banquets, and bar service when applicable.
  • Implement staff training programs focused on food handling, safety procedures, and hospitality best practices to foster a skilled team.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, perform cash handling duties, and reconcile daily sales reports.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations and company policies.

Experience

  • Proven management experience within the food service industry, particularly cafe style casual dining environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen management.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast for order processing and sales tracking.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with staff training & development in a hospitality or restaurant setting.
  • Strong background in food safety protocols, inventory control, budgeting, and food handling procedures.
  • Experience working in hotel environments is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.
