Join us for an exciting new Mediterranean restaurant, located right by Little Island, and be a key player in crafting unforgettable culinary experiences for our guests.  


Position Summary:

At OfCorsica, the Assistant Kitchen Manager supports the Executive Chef and Sous Chef  in overseeing daily culinary operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, consistency, and creativity that reflect the spirit and style of the Mediterranean. This role is hands-on and team-oriented, fostering a positive kitchen culture while upholding our food philosophy, hospitality values, and operational excellence.


Tasks/Responsibilities: 

General Leadership
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef/Sous Chef to lead day-to-day kitchen operations and shift execution.
  • Supervise prep and line teams, ensuring tasks are delegated effectively and stations are staffed and productive.
  • Promote a team environment grounded in respect, accountability, and high standards.
  • Ensure all production procedures, recipes, and plating guidelines are followed with precision.
  • Uphold and model OfCorsica’s culinary standards, cleanliness, and guest-forward mindset.
  • Maintain safe, organized workspaces; enforce DOH, OSHA, and food safety compliance.
  • Coach and train staff on preparation, service flow, equipment usage, and recipe execution.
  • Support all kitchen needs during service, events, and special functions.
  • Ensure consistent food quality and visual presentation across all shifts.
  • Address performance issues professionally and in alignment with company policy.
    Cultivate a respectful, proactive, and goal-driven kitchen culture.
Qualification
  • 2+ years of experience in kitchen leadership within a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting

  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and labor regulations

  • Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate kitchen teams

  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

  • ServeSafe certification required (or ability to obtain)

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods

  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
